The UC Davis Redwood SEED (Supported Education to Elevate Diversity) Scholars Program is an inclusive college program for students with intellectual disabilities. Students in the program live on campus, take UC Davis classes for credit, engage in social activities and organizations, and participate in internships and paid work experiences. Each year, we accept up to 12 students with intellectual disabilities into our program for a total of not more than 48 students. Students take foundational courses as well as credit-bearing UC Davis courses in their area of interest. Students also have paid employment both on and off-campus. We are dedicated to having our graduates be ready for employment that is both integrated and offers a competitive wage. We are a program that encourages, supports and guides the whole student in having life experiences socially, increasing independent living skills, advancing in academics and exploring the richness of educational offerings at UC Davis.
