This position leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a new post-secondary transition program designed to support students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Working under the direction of the NCE's Director of Education and Research, the Program Director collaborates closely with multiple campus departments, including Academic Affairs, Student Success, Admissions, Career Services, Residence Life, and others to ensure that program design and delivery are fully integrated within the broader Curry College experience. This role requires a practitioner with a strong background in special education or intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism-related fields and experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) is searching for a skilled and experienced individual to coordinate the planning stage of the Massachusetts Inclusive Post-Secondary Education (MAIPSE) initiative, with implementation ideally set for Fall 2026. The MA Department of Higher Education (DHE) has funded Massachusetts Maritime Academy's proposed partnership(s) between the university, local school district(s), and adult service disability agencies to support inclusive postsecondary education. According to the DHE, “The purpose of these inclusive postsecondary education opportunities is to increase academic and career success for persons who are 18 and older and have a severe intellectual disability, severe autism spectrum disorder, or other severe developmental disability.” Students in the program will enroll in classes at MMA and be encouraged to participate in clubs and activities.
