This resource includes over 100 ideas for IEP goals to help prepare students for college. The ideas fall into four categories: education, career and employment, community engagement and services, and independence. Educators and families are encouraged to use this resource once students have identified personal strengths and interests, goals, and areas for improvement.

IEP Goal Ideas to Support College Readiness was inspired by work done by Karla Wade; we are grateful for her support of this new publication.

Update from the Accreditation Workgroup: December 2022

Accreditation Workgroup Updates

[Project: National Coordinating Center] The National Coordinating Centers' Accreditation Workgroup continues to work towards the creation of a program accreditation process and the establishment of an accrediting agency.  Read this update to learn what they are up to and what is planned for 2023.

One of the main goals for students attending college is to provide opportunities for career exploration and ultimately, to secure paid work. One way to do that is through apprenticeships. In this brief, you will learn about the key components of apprenticeships, the reasons why apprenticeships are a promising practice in inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE), and the steps to develop registered apprenticeship programs. Information about the Early Childhood Education pilot apprenticeship program at Next Steps at Vanderbilt is shared as an example of the use of apprenticeships in IPSE.
