In July, we hosted the annual Project Director meeting for federally funded Transition and Postsecondary Education Programs for Students with Intellectual Disability (TPSID). TPSID staff and community partners presented many great sessions.

Networking at State of the Art Conference: Research Affinity Group Meeting

This Affinity Group is designed for people who are currently involved in research in inclusive higher education or those who would like to become more involved. The October meeting will take place in-person at the State of the Art Conference. Grab your breakfast and come chat with fellow researchers! Don’t worry about arriving late – this will be an informal time for group members to connect. We will meet in the Waverly room.

Sharing my Disability Journey

This guest blog post is written by former Think College intern, Rachel Adams-Duffy. After graduating, Rachel was invited to speak at an elementary school where a fifth grade class recently read the book “Out of my Mind,” a book based on a character that was non-verbal and had Cerebral Palsy.

Industry Recognized Credentials: Career and Technical Education Affinity Group

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Affinity Group brings together those who are currently involved in inclusive postsecondary programs at CTE institutions or those who would like to become more involved in expanding CTE opportunities for students with intellectual disability. This is an open-access group for individuals who want to contribute to the expansion of CTE access for students with intellectual disability. Meetings will include facilitated discussion on opportunities and barriers to CTE for students with ID as well as guest speakers/experts from the field.

Career and Technical Education Affinity Group - September 2022

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Affinity Group brings together those who are currently involved in inclusive postsecondary programs at CTE institutions or those who would like to become more involved in expanding CTE opportunities for students with intellectual disability. This is an open-access group for individuals who want to contribute to the expansion of CTE access for students with intellectual disability.
