This Think College Snapshot captures data as of August 2025 on specific markers of higher education programs for students with intellectual disabilities, including the number that are designated as Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary (CTP) programs, which states have higher education consortia, the number of programs that have been awarded TPSID funding, which states have passed legislation related to higher education for students with intellectual disability, and more.   

The University of Massachusetts Boston’s Transition Leadership program prepares candidates to lead transition services in their schools or organizations. Examples of this leadership includes conducting department and school or organization transition services assessments, preparing students to lead their transition services, coordinating and documenting individual transition services, establishing interagency transition teams, and providing professional development.

This Snapshot features a big-picture view of the TPSID projects from both Cohort 1 (2010-2015) and Cohort 2 (2015-2020). The numbers of students, programs, and grantees across states is included, as well as numbers of courses taken, paid jobs held while enrolled in college, and credentials earned are shared. 

This infographic highlights the work of Think College National Coordinating Center staff throughout 2019. Statistics are shared about number of conference presentations given, number of publications and webinars, website activity, social media reach, and more.
