At the CEC 2019 conference, Meg Grigal, Debra Hart, and Clare Papay, along with Dana Lattin from University of Kansas presented Higher Education for Students With Intellectual Disability: Profiles of Effective Practice. This presentation covered the latest national data on access to higher education by students with intellectual disability, and provided concrete examples and strategies on access to inclusive college coursework, paid employment, and campus residential options.

A Credential Action Planning Tool that can be used to develop meaningful credentials for students with ID is discussed.

Together with the RRTC on Transitioning Youth and Vocational Rehabilitation, Think College presents this collaborative webinar on vocational rehabilitation. It takes many pieces connected meaningfully in order for a puzzle to be seen for the vision it provides. This webinar is intended to explore examples of partnerships that meaningfully connect various pieces of community resource, resulting in a common vision that assists individuals with Intellectual Disability in achieving independence, careers and community engagement.
This online Research Summit from June 2017 featured two researchers who recently completed their doctoral dissertations in the area of postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability. They presented their research and led a discussion on conducting doctoral research during the summit.
This presentation was given at the 2016 TPSID Project Director Meeting by Dr. Kelly Kelley. It provides a helpful introduction to the steps to follow to assure that students with intellectual disabilities are supported to have meaningful access to and participation in inclusive academics in college. It addresses class selection, academic supports, ongoing evaluation of progress, and communicating with faculty.
