Rethinking College introduces the audience to what is possible for students with intellectual disabilities, and explores how initiatives to include them are currently working. This film is not designed to provide detailed information on how an inclusive higher-education program is established, but rather encourages viewers to examine their own perspectives, ask their own questions, and talk to others about what it means when college is a choice for everyone--even those with intellectual disabilities.
To encourage and support this dialogue, a Viewer's Guide is provided that includes discussion questions for the film, as well as learning activities that can be used in classroom settings and advocacy ideas to use in the community.
Additionally, there is a Take Action Guide which includes some suggested ways to use the film with different groups.
All of these resources can also be found on the Rethinking College page on our website.
