Webinar: How Educators and Leaders Can Help Students with Intellectual Disability to Think College

On September 11, 2024, Think College hosted a webinar with the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) titled How Educators and Leaders Can Help Students with Intellectual Disability to Think College. Moderated by Think College partner and Director of Community Projects at the Westchester Center for Human Development, Dan Habib, a panel of educators, administrators, and a student spoke about access to higher education for students with intellectual disability. The panel included Dr. Lisa Ulmer, Program Director at Destination DAWGS at the University of Georgia, Brenda Barrio, Lead Faculty at UNT ELEVAR at the University of North Texas, Kathleen Battles, a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at Plymouth North High School's transition program in Plymouth, MA, and Jaylen Walker, a student at UNT ELEVAR.
