This legislation, passed in May 2022, created a new inclusive higher education grant program to support IPSE at state institutions. The bill creates a state fund with $450K added annually to support IHE programs at institutions across the state. Awardees are selected by an administering agency chosen competitively by the state. All programs have to develop inclusive curricula and college experiences that yield credentials and include: Inclusive housing, mentoring, college coursework and instruction in independent living, financial literacy, career readiness, socialization and have a focus on integrated employment. It will be funded from FY 22-23 through FY 26-27.
