Arkansas ACCESS – Act 341 Part of Governor Sanders Higher Education Package
  • An expansive package, relating to many areas of education
  • Inclusive Education Specific
    • Creates the Governor’s Higher Education Transition Scholarship Program for students with disabilities. The program will offer a maximum award of $2,500 per qualifying semester, and recipients must maintain eligibility for up to eight continuous semesters or until credentialing is obtained.

Arkansas SB 58: An Act for the Department of Education – Division of Higher Education Appropriation for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year

This legislation, passed in March 2022, provides $2,000,000 for the Governor’s Higher Education Transition Scholarship Program, to assist students accepted into transitional programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities at state institutions of higher education. The provisions of this section shall be in effect only from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
