2018 SEPSEA Capacity Building Institute

This is the fourth Capacity Building Institute for the Southeastern Postsecondary Education Alliance (SEPSEA). All are invited to attend to learn the best strategies for promoting resources, collaboration, education, and access to quality PSE opportunities in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina & beyond!

The Friday morning plenary was presented by Think College staff: Susanna Miller-Raines, Rebecca Lazo, Russ Thelin, and Stephanie Smith Lee.

Florida Postsecondary Education Program Planning Institute

The purpose of this Institute is to increase understanding of resources available for and facilitate planning and implementation of Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Programs (FPCTP) for students with intellectual disabilities in all types of postsecondary education institutions: universities, state and community colleges, and career tech centers. The institute will provide the following: · Content knowledge for developing or enhancing these programs. · Facilitated planning time for interdisciplinary postsecondary education teams.

C of IDEAS Summit 2017: Enhancing Lives, Creating Community

The C of IDEAS (Collaborative of Ingenuity and Discovery through Education, Alliances and Scholarship) Summit 2017: Enhancing Lives, Creating Community focuses on advancing interdisciplinary education and aims to develop solutions that enhance the quality of life of individuals with disabilities. The C of IDEAS is a collaboration with SVSU and community partners including individuals with disabilities and family members, educators, and community organization representatives from Bay-Arenac, Midland, Genesee, and Saginaw counties.

19th International Conference on Autism, Intellectual Disability & Developmental Disabilities

The annual conference of the Division on Autism & Developmental Disabilities of Council for Exceptional Children. Dr. Meg Grigal of Think College will be presenting on a panel entitled Improving Research-based Practices for Educating Students with Intellectual Disability moderated by Dr. Michael Wehmeyer.
