AHEAD Equity & Excellence 2022 Conference

AHEAD is excited to announce its 45th annual conference, Equity & Excellence: Access in Higher Education, as an in-person professional development and networking event. Presenters and participants from diverse fields, including education, technology, law, scholarship, and government, will gather in Cleveland in July.

Early bird Conference registration for AHEAD members will be $695.00 and will include all events beginning with a welcome reception on the evening of Tuesday, July 19th through the banquet and awards ceremony the evening of Friday, July 22nd.

Williams Syndrome Association Convention 2022

Held biennially in July, the National Convention brings together the foremost experts on Williams syndrome and related characteristics to discuss the latest research findings, medical treatments, and educational strategies. More than fifty educational sessions provide families with the latest resources and information, while children are entertained and cared for in specialized age-appropriate programs.

National Down Syndrome Congress Annual Convention

Each year, thousands of people from across the globe attend the National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC) Annual Convention. For most, it’s to hear the latest information from world-renowned experts. For others, it’s a great vacation. However, for nearly all, it is the one-of-a-kind NDSC “giant family reunion” feeling that permeates the convention weekend that brings them back year after year. In additional tot a general conference, there are sessions for youth and siblings.

2022 Annual Disability Statistics Conference and State-of-Science Conference on Disability Statistics

This two-day event combines the 2020 Annual Disability Statistics Conference with the State of the Science Conference on Disability Statistics. The event focuses on two areas:  

  1. The latest demographic, intersectional, economic, social, and health statistics for people with disabilities with comparisons to people without disabilities and  

  2. The state-of-the-science in data collection, analytical techniques, and advanced statistical analyses of key topics.

Association for Higher Education and Disability's (AHEAD) in-depth Institutes cover a range of topics for disability service professionals, ADA coordinators, student affairs staff and administrators, and others working toward equity in higher education. AHEAD’s Management Institutes are facilitated by nationally-recognized faculty and offer opportunities for networking and individual support.

College Autism (Virtual) Summit 2021

The College Autism Summit, sponsored by the College Autism Network, brings together scholars, practitioners, administrators, employers, and self-advocates to discuss evidence-driven strategies that help support college students with autism and related learning differences. Transition to college, experience while in college, and transition to employment and independent living are all areas of focus.

AUCD 2021 - Learning Together: Connecting Research and Lived Experience

The 2021 AUCD Conference will take place online November 15-17 and more details on exact times and other potential events will be shared going into the summer. This year we will bring back a series of Leading Change Sessions to focus on important topics and actions in the areas of research and people with disabilities. Details on concurrent and poster content will be shared this summer.
