Association of University Centers on Disabilities

At the 2019 AUCD Conference over 1,000 community leaders, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, professionals, advocates, and students will join forces in their commitment to change the world for people with disabilities and their families. Sponsors and exhibitors of the Conference will have direct access to AUCD's $650 million national network of directors, researchers, practitioners, and advanced-level Fellows representing university-based programs from every state and territory.

Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI): Emerging Trends 2019

The Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI) is sponsoring a free one-day conference called Emerging Trends 2019. This conference highlights emerging and evidence-based practices that promotes college career readiness for students with disabilities.

Meg Grigal, Ph.D., Co-Director of Think College, will be delivering the keynote presentation called "Higher Education for Students with Intellectual Disability: Profiles of Effective Practice."

DCDT International Conference 2019

This three day conference provides a host of information and networking opportunities for those interested in improving lives of individuals with disabilities. The missions of DCDT (Division on Career Development & Transition, Council for Exceptional Children [CEC]) are to promote national and international efforts to improve the quality of and access to career/vocational and transition services, increase the participation of education in career development and transition goals, and influence policies affecting career development and transition for persons with disabilities.

State of the Art Conference on Postsecondary Education & Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

This popular conference of 300+ participants provides opportunities for colleges of all sizes, universities, researchers, program staff, parents and self-advocates to learn about the current state of research and practice in the field, and to network with each other. Panels that include faculty and staff from postsecondary education initiatives, parents, self-advocates, and other experts, share effective practices during break-out sessions with opportunities for group discussion.

Fourth Annual Regional Summit Post-Secondary Inclusive College Programs

The Fourth Annual Regional Summit for Post Secondary Inclusive College Programs hosted by Bergen Community College (Garden State Pathways to Independence Program) and The College of New Jersey (Career and Community Studies Program) will be dedicated to professional development, program updates, and networking with a focus on best practices.

Summit '19 will be held on Thursday, May 30, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The summit is free to all attendees and meals will be provided.

2019 NDSS Adult Summit

Our 2nd Annual NDSS Down Syndrome Adult Summit will cover important and critical topics for all adults with Down syndrome. Speakers and topics will align with NDSS’ robust, comprehensive programs and pillars – including healthcare/research, inclusive education, community integration, economic self-sufficiency as well as employment and our NDSS #DSWORKS® Campaign. Aging-related changes and health issues, including Alzheimer’s disease, will also be covered.
