Being a Think College Policy Advocate is Outstanding!

Last year, Arthur Moreira, a student at College of Alameda College 2 Career Program learned about disability policy, some basics of how the US government works, advocacy, and more. Then he took that knowledge and traveled to Washington, DC where he met with his state representatives to tell them about what issues were important to him and others with intellectual disability.

Hear more about what Arthur had to say about being a Think College Policy Advocate in this publication that he wrote.

There’s an old saying: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Arthur and the other students who participate in TCPA learn skills that they can use in all aspects of their lives.
