Introducing our Intern, Stuart!

This article was written by Stuart Whitley, a student intern with us at Think College. I asked Stuart to write an article to introduce himself and he did!

Hi my name is Stuart Whitley and I'll take you along my journey in being a college student here at TCNJ.

The College of New Jersey is located in Ewing but I am from Watchung, NJ. Here at the college, I am taking four classes. These classes are academic support seminar, junior practicum, collaborative community living, Introduction to Criminology. I am in these classes and I have academic support on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Junior practicum is on Tuesdays, collaborative community living is on Fridays at 9 am, and  Introduction to Criminology would be on Tuesdays and Fridays. I'm interested in taking these classes because I possibly want to be a judge or lawyer in the future.

Outside of when I'm in classes I like to hang out with my friends and chill at home. I've been watching Twilight. Next about my college experience - living on campus has taught me to respect other students that live with me. The most important person that has helped me learn this and other skills is my best friend TJ, who helped me during hard times.

At college I have enjoyed meeting new people, eating at different restaurants and learning new skills. My favorite restaurants are Jersey Mike's, Panera, and Blazing J’s. If I was able to talk to a younger student, I would tell them that everything is going to be ok and that they will have the best experience in college. After college, if I could travel anywhere in the world, it would be Honolulu. While I'm there I will continue to do some of my favorite hobbies which is listening to music, playing board games and spending time with my brother.
