What is a Think College Policy Advocate?

A Think College Policy Advocate is someone who wants to make college accessible for everyone. They talk to government people to change rules so that more students with disabilities can go to college and participate in all of the activities.

Who should apply?

We are looking for teams from college programs for students with intellectual disability. Each team needs a student and a staff member from the student’s program. You cannot apply if you have already been a TCPA.

Why should you apply?

You can help change laws! We'll teach you everything you need to know, and we'll even help pay for your trip to Washington, DC.

How does the training work?

  • Apply with a team of students and staff.

  • Learn on Zoom and in-person in DC.

  • Meet with government people to talk about why college is important for people with intellectual disability.

Who does the training?

Think College works with a group called AUCD to teach you. They're experts in making life better for people with disabilities by talking with people in the government who make laws.

How to apply?

Visit our website and apply now! Let's make college better for everyone!  Applications due MAY 17, 2024.
