Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network developed numerous resources to support a campaign to build awareness that college is possible, meaningful, and impactful for students with intellectual disability. The resources can be used to educate people about college options and offers multiple strategies to help spread the message: “Think Higher. Think College.”
The Think Higher. Think College website features many resources, including a short video produced and edited by Emmy-award winning filmmaker Dan Habib. This four-minute video highlights the voices of students, faculty, administrators, and others sharing the facts about inclusive postsecondary education and the impact it is having. There are shorter videos as well and all these videos are available for streaming or download for free. They are perfect for sharing on social media or in a meeting or presentation - a visual and impactful way to get others to "Think Higher. Think College."
Along with the videos, the website shares print resources, helpful resource guides, and a social media toolkit to help you effectively use these resources with your family, friends, educators, legislators, funders... anyone who needs to know the powerful impact postsecondary education opportunities are having on students with intellectual disability, other college students, and the higher education community.
In the toolkit, you will find:
- Suggested hashtags and tags
- Sample posts for the most popular social media channels
- Sample text for newsletters and blogs
- Graphics in different sizes
- Videos in different formats and languages
- Posters
All graphics and printable materials are available in a Google Drive to make them easy to access and to share.
