We’re just 3 months into 2026 and the energy at the Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) Association is palpable! Already this year we have seen 27 new members making the grand total 202 members since October 2025! We have expanded our offerings via the association website, through webinars and lunch & learns. We also had an invaluable in-person Board meeting to do some strategic planning. We are confident in saying that the future is bright for this new association!
And we have a lot planned: be on the lookout for information about upcoming webinars, virtual networking, our first research symposium in May, pre-conferences at SEPSEA 2026 and SOTA 2026, mentorship matching starting this summer, and MORE!
2025 was a bit of a whirlwind, and we are so proud of everything we’ve accomplished in the last 9 months. None of this would be possible without the initial activity that happened for the IPSE Association in 2025, including: the formation of the first Board of Directors, the first board meeting, the first pre‑conference workshops, the enrollment of the first member, the first international member, and the launch of the association’s first corporate sponsor and corporate partnership. Each milestone reflected a growing community of partners committed to the IPSE Association’s mission.
Several key dates defined the association’s formal development.
- May 20, 2025, the IPSE Association held its first Board meeting and formally adopted its bylaws, establishing a clear governance structure.
- June 16, 2025, the IPSE Association was officially incorporated in North Carolina as a nonprofit organization.
- October 21, 2025, Membership was publicly launched at the SOTA Conference, the same day the first member officially joined the IPSE Association.
- December 10, 2025, the IPSE Association received formal approval of its 501(c)(3) status by the IRS
Together, these accomplishments marked 2025 as a year of intentional growth and organizational clarity, establishing a strong foundation for IPSE’s future leadership, advocacy, and service, and we are [super excited] to see how 2026 shapes up.
