IPSE Day started as a small, regional effort. Now, it is a national movement that raises awareness about inclusive college options for students with intellectual disability. But how did it grow, and how can you be part of it? During the session, Olivia Fraioli and Susanna Miller-Raines (bios below) will walk through how IPSE Day got started, how it grew through state and regional partnerships, and why Think College now leads this work. Most importantly, we will focus on what you can do this year to take part. This could be at a college, through a state effort, or by supporting students and families.
You will also get simple, ready-to-use outreach tools from the Think Higher. Think College. campaign. You will leave with clear ideas you can use right away to make IPSE Day count.
What you’ll walk away with:
- A quick overview of how IPSE Day got started and why it matters
- Ideas to help you spread the word about inclusive college options
- Easy-to-use outreach tools you can start using right away
- A clear next step for how you will take part this year
