What’s New at the National Coordinating Center

Hi there, Danie here! After four years as the Project Coordinator for the Inclusive Higher Education Network, I am grateful to be serving in this role for the National Coordinating Center (NCC). We were awarded this 5-year Department of Education grant in October 2025 to continue our work as the NCC for the Transition and Postsecondary Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID) where we to promote and support postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability.

As a former TPSID project director, I am beyond excited that part of this role is working closely with the new cohort of federally funded TPSID model demonstration projects. The NCC gathers and analyzes student and program-level data from TPSIDs and then utilizes this information to identify and share effective practices to enhance accountability, quality, and sustainability of postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability.

We provide technical assistance to both TPSIDs and non-TPSID programs serving students with intellectual disability as well as support to colleges/universities, K-12 educators, families, and students across the U.S. We will also continue to develop and update informational resources, trainings, and website offerings focused on inclusive postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability.

To learn more about what the NCC is working on or how you can best receive support from us, tune into this webinar recording we hosted in March 2026, Get to Know the NCC, to learn all about our project and how we can meet your needs.
