[Proiect: Transition Leadership Program] Through the Transition Leadership Program (TLP), UMass Boston offers a transition leadership certificate that focuses on the transition from high school to adult life for young people with a wide range of disabilities. The TLP is now accepting applications for September 2023.
[National Coordinating Center] The National Coordinating Center's Accreditation Workgroup is currently piloting a program accreditation process with college or university programs for students with intellectual disability (ID).
[Project: Inclusive Higher Education Network] Staff from the Think College Network was recently at the University of Missouri St. Louis to lead the Midwest Inclusive Postsecondary Education Alliance in a Capacity Building Institute. The purpose of this meeting was to disassemble the existing MIPSA regional alliance and reassemble it into three distinct regional alliances.
We are pleased to announce that Caitlyn Bukaty (she/her) and Chelsea Stinnett (she/her) joined the Think College team. Each one brings extensive experience in inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE), as well as passion for seeing this field grow.
[Project: Inclusive Higher Education Network] Staff from the Inclusive Higher Education Network is exploring a critical area for students with intellectual disability: career and technical education.
[Project: National Coordinating Center] At Think College, we really believe in sharing resources. In July, we hosted the annual Project Director meeting for federally funded Transition and Postsecondary Education Programs for Students with Intellectual Disability (TPSID). TPSID staff and community partners presented many great sessions.
Think College, along with Stephanie Smith Lee, Caden Cox, and Hallmark, will be receiving an award at the NDSC Big Game Ball on September 1 in Atlanta, GA.
[Project: Inclusive Higher Education Network] The Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network brought together their team members and project partners on July 20th, in Cleveland, OH.
[Project: National Coordinating Center] The annual TPSID Project Director meeting was held in Cleveland, Ohio on July 18 and 19 where the 2020-2025 cohort was finally able to gather in person. It was a productive and enjoyable meeting for all!
