Universal Design for Learning (UDL) can be used to design high quality experiences for all learners in a wide range of environments, including Career and Technical Education (CTE). In this hour-long webinar from the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST), three experienced CTE educators and UDL practitioners outline ways in which UDL principles can be used to ensure that a variety of CTE environments are accessible for all learners. This is a helpful resource for all CTE administrators in designing high-quality classroom and work-place experiences.

This bill, enacted in 2021, amends the Dual Credit Quality Act, stating that transition planning must include information regarding career and technical education opportunities, as well as postsecondary CTE opportunities. The bill also outlines how school districts within community college districts will create partnerships with one another that modify their dual-credit plan to include students with intellectual and development disabilities providing appropriate accommodations.

It is intended for readers to gain a general sense of the kinds of issues that are addressed in the standards and begin to understand the overall concepts that are addressed.
