The Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network, in partnership with the Southeast Postsecondary Education Alliance (SEPSEA), will host a state alliance capacity building institute (CBI) as a breakout session strand at the 2023 SEPSEA Conference, May 17-19, 2023 in Nashville, TN. The CBI will focus on supporting the development and expansion of state alliances for inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) across the United States. Those who have active state alliances or those who are interested in bringing state partners together are invited to join us!
The CBI content will include the following breakout sessions:
State vocational rehabilitation support led by Russ Thelin of Think College
Successful state policy efforts and suggestions for what states can do in partnership with legislatures and state agencies led by Denise Rozell of AUCD
A time to hear from experienced state alliance leaders and how and why they are supporting state alliances
Time to work with experts one-on-one, to plan and strengthen state alliance activities.
You do not have to be a member of SEPSEA or live in the Southeast to attend the conference. The CBI will be held during breakout sessions and will be noted in the agenda. You can attend all the state alliance strand breakouts or mix it up and attend other SEPSEA breakout sessions. The CBI is included with registration.
