We are delighted to announce that Dr. Kathleen Becht is joining the National Coordinating Center team to coordinate all of its technical assistance and training activities.  Technical assistance is a cornerstone activity of the Think College National Coordinating Center, which has provided thousands of hours of direct technical assistance to date to TPSID model demonstration programs, other college programs for students with intellectual disability,

The 2021-2025 Accreditation workgroup will work with the National Coordinating Center to support the development of a program accreditation process for college programs for students with intellectual disability.  

The Think College National Coordinating Center has a lot of big plans for 2021! In an effort to speed along the last 10 days of 2020, we did a countdown on social media of some of the things we are most looking forward to in 2021. In mid-October, I had the opportunity to meet Cassidy Bauer (by Zoom, of course). Maria Paiewonsky, a Project Coordinator and transition specialist at Think College at the Institute for Community Inclusion, introduced us and the three of us talked together about college and work and Cassidy’s love of the food industry and her other interests.

The Think College National Coordinating Center at the Institute for Community Inclusion, UMass Boston is hiring a Technical Assistance Coordinator to coordinate technical assistance and dissemination activities as well as provide direct technical assistance related to postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability.

The Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative, or MAICEI, is a statewide inclusive dual enrollment model that has been operating in up to 15 public institutes of higher education since 2006. 

The US Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education, has awarded the 2020-2025 Transition and Postsecondary Education Program for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID) grants.
