This document gives an overview of the work of the Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network (IHEN) which seeks to build awareness and capacity for college options for students with intellectual disability (ID) through: public awareness campaign activities; translating research into practice; and creating strategic partnerships.
Inclusive Higher Education Network
This video highlights the many things students with intellectual disability love about college: living in the dorm, taking classes that they choose, making friends, eating good food, participating in campus activities, and being independent. Hear from students and faculty from 5 different college campuses around the country about all the ways everyone benefits from students with intellectual disability going to college. It will make you “Think Higher. Think College.”
This toolkit was created to support the "Think Higher. Think College." public awareness campaign. It includes a rationale for the campaign, sample text and graphics to use on social media and other communications, tips for making effective posts on social media, a campaign poster, and links to the campaign videos. All items pictured or mentioned in the toolkit are also available in a Google drive for easy download.

State Alliance Capacity Building Institute at 2023 SEPSEA Conference
The Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network, in partnership with the Southeast Postsecondary Education Alliance (SEPSEA), will host a state alliance capacity building institute (CBI) as a breakout session strand at the 2023 SEPSEA Conference, May 17-19, 2023 in Nashville, TN. The CBI will focus on supporting the development and expansion of state alliances for inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) across the United States. Those who have active state alliances or those who are interested in bringing state partners together are invited to join us!
