This is an example of a memorandum of understanding between a postsecondary education program for students with intellectual disability and Title IX/Conduct offices to ensure there are clear expectations related to  processes and supports from these offices and the roles that the program and offices will play in supporting students with intellectual disability to navigate them.

This example from the University of South Alabama’s PASSAGE program illustrates how a learning contract for a student in an audited college course can be set up to align to the greatest extent possible with learning goals for all students in the class, ensure meaningful learning and support full participation. The contract also sets up ways to measure student progress in the course.

These MOU were developed at the University of Alabama to outline roles and responsibilities when the student and the fraternity or sorority. The agreements outline roles and responsibilities for the Alabama Interfraternity Council & Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, CrossingPoints staff and the CrossingPoints student that is participating.

As part of a comprehensive program evaluation, postsecondary education programs for students with ID may want to use surveys that are targeted at specific key audiences. This resource shares two surveys that were developed by Western Carolina University's UP Program - one targeted for college faculty who have taught students from the program and the other for employers that have provided a job or internship to students.  

Over the course of two years, the ASTEP program at Minot State University developed a university certificate and a stackable AAS degree. In partnership with the North Dakota Impact Consortium, this successful model has been used to develop a university recognized credential at a second university in North Dakota with a third and fourth on their way.
