This template was developed as a resource to accompany the online module developed by Think College with information and resources to assist programs to apply for CTP program approval status.

This Insight Brief is based on a research study by the authors that explored the admissions process and eligibility criteria for programs that support students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The researchers used a national online survey and virtual interviews with postsecondary education program staff to learn about the skills, behaviors, and qualities most commonly valued during the admissions process. They also explored the steps and timeline of the admissions process.

- Creates the Governor’s Higher Education Transition Scholarship Program for students with disabilities. The program will offer a maximum award of $2,500 per qualifying semester, and recipients must maintain eligibility for up to eight continuous semesters or until credentialing is obtained.
This guide is designed to help vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors develop targeted Individualized Plans for Employment (IPE) to support clients pursuing postsecondary education. It lists the components of an IPE and explains each one; examples are also provided.
This mentor application was created by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette LIFE Program. The application's purpose is to screen and gather information from students interested in being mentors. This resource can be used in an online form (i.e., Microsoft, Google, etc.) and sent as a link to students who want to apply.
These four documents were created by staff at Think College to clearly explain the purpose of the different federally funded projects focused on college options for students with intellectual disability-- the National Coordinating Center, the Inclusive Higher Education Network, the TPSID Model Demonstration projects-- as well as the comprehensive federal initiative Model Transition Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities into Higher Education.
