National Coordinating Center

The Think College National Coordinating Center (NCC) provides coordination, technical assistance, training, and evaluation for Transition and Postsecondary Education Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID). The NCC also provides technical assistance, training resources, and support to all college programs for students with ID, families and students. We develop and disseminate resources aimed at increasing knowledge of the evidence-based practices needed to develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality higher education opportunities for students with intellectual disability.

Think College NCC is funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education, and has been since 2010.  It received funding to continue as the NCC most recently in October, 2025, with funding through September 2030.

TPSID GRANTEES AND ASSOCIATED SITES

Transition and Postsecondary Programs for Students with Intellectual Disability, or TPSID, are model demonstration projects funded by the US Department of Education.  The NCC collects and analyzes data on program design and student experiences from each TPSID program in order to increase knowledge about the impact and outcomes of postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability.
